The Big Switch
with Lock-Out
The Big Switch is a heavy-duty battery disconnect switch rated at 250 amps continuous service and 2500 amps for 5 second intervals (12V / 24V). The switch is manufactured with silver plated electrical contacts. It is a completely sealed, waterproof design, able to withstand the most severe operating conditions. We back the quality of this switch with a three (3) year warranty. The Big Switch, FR 1005, is supplied with a lock-out bracket which enables a padlock to be inserted in the "off" position to comply with OSHA lock-out/tag-out regulation 1910.147. This prevents accidental activation during equipment maintenance

Design Features:
-Steel pin functions as a dual tab to lock the spring-loaded stem in the open and closed position
-The spring-loaded plunger exerts pressure on the stem and contact plate to prevent circuit interruption from shock and vibration
-Solid brass contact plate is integal with the plunger for positive circuit completion
-Rubber O-rings provide a waterproof seal between the terminal studs and switch body
-Cast Aluminum T-Handle for easy grip and switch actuation
-Rubber O-rings and gasket provide a waterproof seal to prevent contamination from dirt and other debris
-Plastic barrier between the terminals prevents accidental arcing and inadvertent contact between cable eyelets
